Director of Community Education
My name is Amy Crippen and I am the new Director of Community Education for Weatherford ISD. I am excited to join the Community Education and Adult Education family and honored to work alongside this team that serves and supports our community in many different ways. I look forward to continuing the excellence that has been established in our department as it has served our community for over 50 years.
I have been in the Texas public school system for 24 years. I began my career in education as a 4th grade teacher and joined Weatherford ISD in 2001 as the counselor at Bill Wright Elementary. I also served as a part-time counselor at Mary Martin Elementary and in 2009 became the assistant principal at Stephen F Austin Elementary. In 2015, I was named the principal of Mary Martin Elementary and proudly served in that role for the last 7 years. I obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree from Tarleton State University.
My husband Brice is also an educator in Weatherford ISD. He teaches at Weatherford High School and coaches the WHS Varsity & JV Boy’s and Girl’s Golf Teams. Our three children are also part of the Weatherford ISD Roo Family. Our oldest daughter, Chandler, is a 2019 graduate of WHS and in her last semester of Nursing School at Texas Tech University. Bryson is a 2022 graduate and attending Tarleton State University. He will be part of the TSU Texan track team as a hurdler. Ansley is a sophomore at Weatherford High School and on the Roo Golf Team.
If there is anything I can do to assist you, please feel free to contact me at 817-598-2806 or [email protected]. I am blessed to continue to serve both Weatherford ISD and the Weatherford Community in this position. Weatherford ISD is near & dear to my heart and I am very proud to be a ROO!
