Ninth Grade Center and Texas Gas 12-15-16

This morning Texas Gas was replacing a pipe south of the Ninth Grade Center. Pressure was released during this process resulting in a lingering natural gas odor that was noticeable at that campus and in the surrounding area. Out of an abundance of caution, students at the Ninth Grade Center were relocated to the north side of the building to move them away from the odor. The Weatherford Fire Department and WISD Maintenance Department were on also on site as a precautionary measure. The smell has since dissipated and classes have resumed as normal.
