Location Manager announced for Dallas County Schools Transportation - WISD's New Provider of Bus Service

Randy Gover was recently hired as the Location Manager for Dallas County Schools Transportation.

Mr. Gover earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in public administration from Tarleton State University. He served 22 years as an Army officer specializing in maintenance and logistics and retired at the rank of Major.

Randy holds both a Teacher and Mid-Management Certification. He taught high school in Whitney and Gatesville, Texas, where he also drove a bus for a regular route and extracurricular trips. He accepted an Assistant Principal position with Mineral Wells ISD and later served as their Director of Transportation. Randy was selected as the Director of Transportation for Abilene ISD and served in that capacity until accepting his current position as Location Manager for Weatherford ISD.

Mr. Gover holds the Certified Texas Transportation Official designation with the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (TAPT). In 2015, Randy was elected to the Executive Committee for TAPT. He also serves as President of the Big County TAPT affiliate chapter which encompasses the Education Service Center 14 area.

Randy is a bus driver Certification Instructor for the Department of Public Safety, teaches certification classes for TAPT and has instructed classes at multiple Education Service Centers.
