Melendez comes to Weatherford ISD after spending the previous four years as the Accounting/Finance Manager at the Region 11 Education Service Center where she was responsible for managing a $20 million budget with over 200 local, state, and federal funding sources. Prior to this position, she was a Senior Accountant (2007-2010) and Accountant for Grant Programs (2001-2007) at ESC-11.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be at Weatherford ISD,” Melendez said. “I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and being of service to my colleagues.”
Melendez earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University in 1999 and her Associate of Science degree from Western New Mexico University in 1994. She is also certified with the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).
