WHS Varsity Girls
After falling in the first round to Abilene, 43-27, the Lady Roos bounced back and beat Highland, 51-32, in the second round. The girls cruised to a 61-32 victory over Odessa Permian on Friday; and they topped Lubbock Coronado, 45-28, in the consolation championship game.
Kailin Davis earned All-Tournament honors with a pair of double-double games as well as scoring 13, 20, 23, and 14 points in each of the four games.
WHS Junior Varsity Girls
The JV Lady Roos continued their great tournament play on Saturday. That morning, the Lady Roos defeated Aledo with their great defense and team play sending them to the championship game that afternoon against Stephenville.
Unfortunately, Stephenville's size was too much for the Lady Roos to compensate for and they came up short finishing second overall.
The Lady Roos head to Keller tonight before taking a week off for the Thanksgiving break. The varsity tips off at 6:30 p.m. Both the freshmen and JV games begin at 5 p.m.
