WHS junior's artwork to be displayed at State Capitol

Hibbits' artwork was created for State Rep. Phil King who represents District 61 (Parker and Wise counties). One side of the ornament represents Weatherford as the "Cutting Horse Capital of the World," and the other side is a drawing of the Parker County Courthouse.

For the past five Christmas seasons, ornaments selected by a House Member have decorated the majestic 22-foot, Texas-grown Christmas tree that stands in the House Chamber of the Texas Capitol in Austin.  The tree will be on display December 5 through January 2 and will showcase the district nature of every House District to the thousands of Capitol visitors who enjoy the ornaments each year.
