The Lady Roos started slow and were down 7 before freshman Anna Jefferson-Polk subbed in and the tides turned.
Weatherford got up as much as 18 points a couple of times in the game.
The Lady Roos will host Arlington Heights for its home opener Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m. The junior varsity and freshmen games will begin at 6 p.m.

The Lady Roos outplayed the Lady Owls in most aspects, but a bad showing at the free throw line caused them to come up short.
Sophomore Maggie Glenn had 5 points and also was key at the point to break Joshua's press. Freshman Bri Lively led the team with 9 points. Sophomore Paige Hudson contributed an additional 8 points. Sophomore Ellie Larvin was a huge impact on rebounds and contributed 7 points. Freshman Hailey Daniels, Grace Davis, and Tyara Buckner each had 2 points.
