Wright Elementary celebrates Veterans Day with reception, parade, and program

Veterans and their families filled the library and were treated to cake, cookies, pie, coffee, and tea before moving into the hallways to watch the parade.

The parade consisted of representatives from each classroom pulling floats that were prepared by each class.

During the fifth grade program, all the veterans in the audience were asked to come forward and state their names and years service in the Armed Forces.

Wright Elementary was one of eight campuses throughout the District that hosted a Veterans Day Program.
