Texas Neighborhood Services donate to WISD, Education Foundation

Several pallets of school supplies were delivered directly to the WISD Maintenance yard and will benefit the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation, Also, TNS donated approximately 75 Texas Instruments graphing calculators to Weatherford High School.

Weatherford ISD Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Hanks said the District was thankful for the supplies - including the graphing calculators - and he was proud of the WISD's continuing relationship with Texas Neighborhood Services.

TNS delivers comprehensive human services that are responsive to the needs and values of the children, families, and community. It also is a non-profit community action agency founded in 1965 with a vision to serve others.

The Program provides financial assistance to eligible households to assist with utilities. Assistance includes payment to vendors and suppliers of fuel/utilities, goods and other services for past due or current bills related to the procurement of energy to heat or cool a residence. In addition, assistance includes payment for repair of heating/cooling units such as air conditioners if such repair is absolutely required to assure necessary heating/cooling for the household.

TNS also provides food and emergency relief administers the Head Start/Early Head Start Program in Weatherford.
