This year’s international color is blue, and students and staff members are encouraged to wear blue on Monday, October 6 (the World Day for Bullying Prevention is always on the first Monday of October).
Weatherford ISD takes bullying and/or cyber bullying very seriously, and students are encouraged to report any errant behaviors by using the District’s Quick Tip form. These forms are available on the front of each of the District’s 11 campus webpages – and the link is called “Anonymous Tips.”
A “Report Bullying” hot link is also available on the District’s main website under Departments -- Student Services…or Departments -- Safety and Security.
Some of the organizations offering resources to assist schools during Bullying Prevention Awareness Month include:
- StopBullying.gov
- National Bullying Prevention Center
- National Association of Elementary School Principals
- National Education Association: Bully Free: It Starts With Me
- Common Sense Media: Stop Cyberbullying
