Weatheford High School’s varsity volleyball team dropped a tough match against Arlington Lamar , 15-25, 19-25, 14-25, in Arlington.
WHS Head Volleyball Coach Natalie Gonzales said although the Lady Roos fought hard, the Lady Vikings’ defense was dominant.
Megan Whitehead led the Lady Roos in serving with 9 points. Erin Riney had 11 digs, Carissa Madrid finished with 12 assists, and Maddie Dorris had 6 kills.

Weatherford High School’s junior varsity volleyball team played a close first set before the Lady Vikings pulled away in District 4-6A action on Tuesday.
The Lady Roos’ next matchup is against Arlington Bowie on Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Weatherford climbed out of a first game deficit to beat Arlington Lamar, 14-25, 25-22, 25-17 Tuesday in Arlington.
Alyson Ross led the team with 6 kills and Grace Davis had 11 assists.

Weatherford’s Freshman “B” team swept Arlington Lamar in two games, 25-20, 25-5, Tuesday in Arlington.
Alyssa Bagwell’s set to Sydney Bowman for a quick kill put an exclamation point on the match as the Lady Roos will host Arlington Bowie on Friday beginning at 5 p.m.
