WHS Advanced Placement teachers recognized for serving as exam graders

One of the greatest benefits of these teachers assisting the College Board is that they will gain insight into AP scoring standards and receive valuable knowledge that can help them help WISD students as they prepare for these exams.
  • Nicole Comstock graded over 4,000 Physics B International exams this summer (this was her eighth year to grade AP Physics exams)

  • Staci Tharp graded over 1,800 AP exam essays this summer (this was her fourth year to serve as a grader)

  • Alan Roemer was responsible for grading one open-ended question on the AP Calculus exam grading approximately 2,400 questions.

The knowledge and experience these teachers bring back to WISD has improved student performance levels on the AP exams. This year 283 high school students scored a 3 or better on their AP exams.
