New WISD teachers receive warm welcome from administrators, business, community leaders

The event - which was sponsored by Jerry's GM in Weatherford - featured warm welcomes by WISD Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Hanks, Weatherford Mayor Dennis Hooks, Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board James Plowman, and WISD Education Foundation member Dave Cowley. Northside Baptist Church Senior Pastor Van Houser also led the invocation.

Each new teacher also received gift bags filled with lots of items donated by local businesses.
