The $400 scholarship is awarded annually by the Kiwanis Club of Weatherford to a deserving student of the Weatherford ISD Adult Education Program. Also, the Club established this scholarship in honor of Tom DeBeauford, a long-time Kiwanis member who was a big proponent of vocational education, and he believed that education is the key to success.
Students are nominated by their adult education teacher and chosen based on a number of factors including attendance, performance, cooperation, self-initiative and the pursuit of future plans.
