Follow WHS Varsity Roo Baseball this Season!

Follow the WHS Varsity baseball games through live broadcasts this season! It all starts on Saturday, February 22nd at 11:00 am as the Roos face Denton Guyer.

Metro Sports Communications, the stateโ€™s leader in live high school play-by-play coverage, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Weatherford Independent School District to broadcast all WHS varsity baseball games during the 2025 season.

Beginning with Saturdayโ€™s season opener against Denton Guyer, WHS fans can listen to every pitch of Kangaroo baseball live this season on a variety of platforms, including RooBaseballNetwork.com, WeatherfordisdKangaroos.com and the Weatherford Kangaroos app.

โ€œIt means a lot to me to bring my hometown a truly special level of broadcast coverage,โ€ said Metro Sports owner/GM Chuck Kelly. โ€œWe did the WHS playoff series the last couple of seasons and we felt now is the time to take it to the next level with professional broadcastsโ€.

Kelly, a longtime DFW sportscaster, will be joined by Michael Dixon, who has six seasons of professional baseball play-by-play experience and is currently the co-host of the Dallas Stars pre- and post-game coverage on The Ticket.

โ€œI am very excited about this partnership,โ€ WHS baseball coach Jason Lee said. โ€œI believe this will be a great way to promote our players, program, Weatherford High School, and the community of Weatherford. We appreciate the business community stepping up to bring something this special to our fansโ€.

All games will be preceded by a 30-minute Warmup Show, featuring interviews with players and Coach Lee, and will be followed by a 15-minute Wrap-Up Show, with the Star-of-the-Game interview and game recap.
